At 9.25 am today, Monday the 11th of October , the BLIZZARDS hit ‘Trust Me I’m a Doctor’, recorded with the RTE CONCERT ORCHESTRA, will play simultaneously on almost every radio station in the country to raise funds for Irish charity HEROES AID.
The tribute will feature the BLIZZARDS along with the RTÉ CONCERT ORCHESTRA who will perform a reimagined version of the Blizzards classic tune to acknowledge the bravery and dedication of medical staff who’ve spent almost two years on the frontline of the Covid pandemic.
The fundraiser is being coordinated and supported by 2FM, the Bauer Media Group, iRadio, FM104, Beat FM and the Wireless Group. Members of the public can get involved by texting HERO to 50300 to donate €4 or online at GoFundMe.com/HeroesAid21
Founder of HEROES AID, Mary Leahy, says “Every cent raised will be used to provide practical support for healthcare workers 24/7. We help with everything from stress management and crisis counselling to personal finance and family education. At HEROES AID we believe it’s time to give back to those who’ve already given so much to help others”.
